Good private colleges in Georgia?

I'm from Georgia, and I've started my college search. I'm more inclined towards private colleges. Can anyone suggest some good private colleges within the state? Something about the atmosphere, or academic rigor, anything you've heard would be a great help!

Sure, Georgia has quite a number of reputable private institutions that should be on your radar.

1. Emory University - This is probably the best known among Georgia's private institutions. Emory is famous for its strong programs in the social sciences, business, and health disciplines. The campus combines the advantages of a close-knit liberal arts college with the resources of a large research university.

2. Morehouse College and Spelman College - For students interested in a historically black college experience, Morehouse (for men) and Spelman (for women) offer a unique cultural and academic environment. These colleges are recognized for their strong liberal arts programs.

Remember that 'fit' is crucial! Make sure to explore each school's mission and values, and ensure they align with your own academic and personal goals. Lastly, visit the campuses if you can. There's nothing like stepping foot onto a campus to truly get a sense of the community and atmosphere. Good luck with your search!
