How to tackle the AP Physics 1 exam?

Physics folks! AP Physics 1 is approaching and, not gonna lie, I'm pretty nervous about it. The material seems so broad. If you've taken the test, how did you prepare for it? What topics should I focus on the most, and are there any specific practice problems or resources I should look at?

Deep breaths—AP exams can be daunting, but you've got this! Focusing on fundamental concepts is key for AP Physics 1. Newtonian mechanics, work, energy, and power, as well as mechanical waves and sound, are major topics. Make sure you understand the core principles of all of them, and can apply them to different scenarios.

In terms of study resources, College Board's released practice questions are a goldmine for seeing the types of questions asked. Khan Academy is also a great resource, for both conceptual understanding and practice problems. There's also value in slow-motion problem-solving on your own, though. Take a problem, work through it step by step, and really digest each part. Finally, many students find study groups helpful, as explaining concepts to peers can test how well you really understand them yourself.

You're already showing initiative by reaching out for advice, which is a great first step! Good luck!
