Private Colleges in Florida

Hi everyone, I'm trying to explore my options in Florida. Can anybody recommend any good private colleges in the state? Maybe share a bit about how you chose your school, what you like about it, etc.? Thank you!

Sure, there are quite a number of good private universities in Florida. Firstly, you have the University of Miami which is known for its strong programs in business, marine biology, and music.

The southern part of the state hosts Florida Southern College, a liberal arts college that has been recognized for its unique architecture and strong nursing program.

In Tampa, there's the University of Tampa which offers strong programs in education and criminology, among others. I've heard quite a few positive things about the student community there, with a small student-to-faculty ratio which allows for more personalized guidance and learning.

In central Florida, Rollins College is a popular choice for its beautiful campus and its strong visual and performing arts programs. Then there's Stetson University, which is recognized for offering rigorous programs for serious pre-law and music students.

I suggest you consider factors such as location, size, areas of study, financial aid, campus culture and student life in your decision-making process. For instance, do you prefer a big university or a smaller campus? What are you considering majoring in? Are you looking for an urban setting or a suburban community?

By evaluating these factors, you'll have an easier time narrowing down your options and finding the right fit for you in terms of academic, social, and career aspirations. Don't forget to take virtual or in-person tours to get a feel of the campus! A personal connection to the environment can greatly influence your overall college experience.
