Out-of-state tuition at U Miami?

Hey guys, I'm from Chicago and I've been doing some research on colleges down in Florida. University of Miami caught my eye and I've been pretty stoked about it. However, I've heard out-of-state tuition can sometimes be a lot higher. Anyone have any idea about the out-of-state tuition at U Miami?

The University of Miami, like many private institutions, does not differentiate between in-state and out-of-state tuition. This means the cost for tuition is the same, regardless of which state or country you come from. That's somewhat of a relief for out-of-state or international students who are often subject to higher tuition rates at public universities.

For the 2024-2025 academic year, the tuition at University of Miami is approximately $60,720. However, keep in mind that this doesn't include additional fees, room and board, or personal expenses.

While the cost might seem high, remember that many students receive financial aid that can significantly reduce the cost of attendance. In addition, the University of Miami is known for generous merit-based scholarships—you may want to investigate those opportunities as well. The net price calculator on their website can also give you a better idea of what you might expect to pay after accounting for financial aid and scholarships.
