What colleges fall under the California State University, Northridge?

Hey folks, I'm a junior looking at colleges under the California State University system. I've seen 'Northridge' pop up a few times and I'm a bit confused. Does California State University, Northridge refer to several colleges, or is it a college in itself? What kind of degree programs do they offer?

California State University, Northridge, often referred to as CSUN, is a single institution within the broader California State University system. It doesn't refer to several colleges, rather it's one of the 23 campuses in the CSU system.

As for the degree programs offered, CSUN offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and graduate programs, including over 70 different bachelor's degrees across various fields. The university is organized into nine colleges: the College of Humanities; the College of Science and Mathematics; the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences; the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media, and Communication; the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics; the Michael D. Eisner College of Education; the College of Engineering and Computer Science; the College of Health and Human Development; and the Tseng College, which primarily offers graduate degrees, international programs, and mid-career education.

Each college houses a variety of different departments and degree programs. For instance, if you're interested in business, you might look into the David Nazarian College of Business and Economics. Or if you're leaning towards the arts, the Mike Curb College of Arts, Media, and Communication offers numerous programs from music industry studies to journalism.

Just like any sizable institution, the range of studies at CSUN is quite vast so it's worth spending some time on their website or reaching out to an admissions officer for more tailored advice based on your interests.
