High School GPA Calculator – No Credits?

Yo guys, this might be silly but I'm trying to calculate my GPA without credits (those things confuse me). Is there a calculator out there that doesn't need them? I just wanna know my standing before college application seasons comes at me.

Hello! I get that calculating GPA with credits can be a bit confusing, but it's actually pretty straightforward once you understand it.

You're essentially adding up all of your grades (with 'A' often being a 4.0, 'B' being a 3.0, etc), and then dividing by the total number of classes. I understand that you're searching for a calculator that excludes credits, but the problem here is that the credit system exists for a reason. Different classes may have different weights -- for example, a year-long class often weighs more than a semester-long class. If you were to calculate GPA without considering credits, a less significant (shorter or easier) class would have the same weight as a more significant (longer or harder) class, which could skew your GPA.

If you're willing to give the credit system another try, here’s a general method you can use: assign numerical values to your grades (A=4.0, B=3.0, etc), then multiply each of these values by the number of credits the course was worth. After that, add all these values together, and then divide by the total number of credits. That would give you your weighted GPA.

If you still want to calculate your GPA without credits, you can do so by giving each class an equal weight. However, keep in mind that most colleges will look at weighted GPAs that consider how many credits each class was worth.

Hopefully, this explanation gives you a clearer understanding of the reason behind the credit system.
