Need Help Converting to Percentages!

Stressing a bit over here...I just need someone to explain to me how you calculate the percentage when given a fraction like 11/12 or 29/35. What's the conversion process? How do I figure these out? Thanks in advance for the help, math is not my strong suit...

Hello!

Converting fractions to percentages is actually a fairly straightforward process once you get the hang of it. Here's the breakdown:

Each fraction is essentially a representation of a simple division calculation. The easiest way to turn a fraction into a percentage is to divide the top number (the numerator) by the bottom number (the denominator), and then multiply the result by 100 to get a percentage.

Let's take the fraction 11/12 for example. If you perform the division 11 ÷ 12 on a calculator, you'll get a decimal (approximately 0.916). To convert this decimal into a percentage, you just need to multiply it by 100 (0.916 x 100), which equals 91.6%.

The same applies to your second fraction 29/35. Doing the division 29 ÷ 35 on a calculator, you'll get a decimal (approximately 0.828). Multiply this decimal by 100 (0.828 x 100), and you'll get 82.8% for your percentage.

Just remember, the step-by-step process is to divide the numerator by the denominator, and then multiply the result by 100. This will give you the percentage. I hope this assists in making the conversion process clearer for you!
