Out-of-state tuition at University of Missouri?

Hey everyone! I'm a rising Jr from Texas and I'm considering the University of Missouri as one of my college options. I heard they're out-of-state tuition might be high though. Can anyone offer any insight on this? Thanks!

As an out-of-state student, the tuition at the University of Missouri (Mizzou) is indeed higher than for in-state residents. For the 2024-2025 school year, the estimated cost of tuition and fees for out-of-state students is about $34,322-$37,922. This is just for tuition and doesn't include other expenses such as room and board, meals, books, and personal expenses.

It's important to remember, however, that this figure doesn't take into account any financial aid or scholarships you might receive, which can potentially offset some of these costs. The University has several scholarships and the non-resident tuition reduction program for which you might be eligible. Research these scholarships and financial aid opportunities to get a better sense of what the actual cost might be for you.

I'd recommend using their net price calculator (https://www.shoppingsheet.com/Shopping/Landing/missouri) to get a more accurate estimate of the costs. This will give you a customized estimate based on your family's financial situation and can also incorporate any potential scholarships or financial aid.
