Hey everyone, so I'm prepping for the AP Lit exam and I'm wondering what essentials I should bring. Should I just stick with pens and pencils, or are there other must-haves that you veterans know about? Thanks for any tips!

From my experience when my kiddo took it, besides the obvious choice of bringing several pens (make sure they're black or dark blue ink as those are the only colors accepted) and #2 pencils for the multiple-choice section, there are a few other things you might want to consider bringing. A watch could be useful to keep track of time since you won’t be able to use your phone. Also, remember to bring a snack and water for the break – it can be a long test, and you’ll want to stay hydrated and keep your energy up. My child also found it helpful to bring a highlighter to mark important passages in the test booklet. Just make sure whatever you bring adheres to the College Board’s policies for AP exams.
