What's the GPA cut-off for City College of New York?

Hey everyone, does anybody know what GPA you need to be a competitive applicant at the City College of New York? I really want to get in but need to figure out where I stand.

Hi there! I understand wanting to gauge where you stand with CCNY. While they don't have an official 'cut-off' GPA, aiming for a strong academic record is key. Typically, a competitive applicant has a GPA of around 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

However, keep in mind that CCNY looks at the rigor of your courses and your improvement over time, too. So a slightly lower GPA with challenging courses can also be seen favorably. Make sure you continue working hard in your studies and take on coursework that shows you're prepared for college-level work.

Lastly, don't forget to highlight your strengths in other areas of your application, including your essays and extracurriculars. Best of luck!
