What's Emory's Average GPA?

Hi all, I'm really eyeing Emory University for applying this year and was wondering if anyone knew what the average GPA typically is for incoming students. Is it highly competitive or do I stand a chance with a 3.8?

Emory University, like many other competitive institutions, does have a high average GPA for admitted students. For the class of 2027, the average gpa of admitted students was a 3.89 unweighted GPA. Based on this, with a 3.8 GPA, you're actually very near that average which could position you well if all other aspects of your application (such as extracurriculars, essays, letters of recommendation) are strong.

However, it's crucial to remember that colleges like Emory aren't solely about the numbers. The admissions process examines the whole person, which includes your leadership experiences, involvement in extracurricular activities, personal essays, and letters of recommendation, among other elements. So, while having a GPA within or above the average range is a good starting point, it's still just one piece of the larger picture. Keep the focus on representing yourself authentically and comprehensively throughout your application.
