In a bit of a panic - I totally blanked on registering for AP exams and I'm worried it's too late. Does anyone know if there's still a chance to register, or do I have to wait until next year? If it's too late, what should I do? Anybody else messed up like this?
Don't worry, it's understandable to have a lot to juggle and miss a deadline. For AP exams, the College Board typically has a regular registration deadline in November, but there's also a late registration period, though it comes with an additional fee. However, the exact deadline can vary by school because your AP coordinator sets the school’s deadline to order exams.
Contact your AP coordinator as soon as possible to see if your school can still place an order for you. If it's too late this year, consider self-study and taking the exam next year, or looking into other ways to demonstrate your knowledge in the subject, such as subject-specific SATs or college-level coursework. It's not the end of the world, and there are always alternatives to showcase your strengths and interests to colleges.
