Hey everyone, I've got my AP Gov exam coming up soon and was wondering if there's anything specific I should bring besides the usual pencils and eraser? This is my first AP test and I'm kinda anxious to make sure I have everything I need.
Hey there! It's completely normal to feel a bit anxious before your first AP exam, but you're on the right track by preparing ahead of time.
Besides the pencils and eraser, make sure you bring a couple of black or dark blue ink pens since some parts of the free-response section must be completed in pen. Also, a watch (without an alarm) can be useful to keep track of time, as personal electronics aren't allowed.
A government-issued photo ID and your AP Student Pack with your labels might be needed, so don't forget those.
Snacks and water for the break are a good idea, but they'll need to stay in your bag during the test.
And though it should go without saying, ensure you get a good night's sleep before test day and eat a good breakfast. You've got this!
