PSAT advice needed - is a score of 1120 showing promise or should I be concerned?

Okay, so, I just got my PSAT results and I scored a 1120... As a sophomore thinking ahead, should I take this as a good sign, or does it mean I've really got to step up my game for junior year? Also, any tips on how to improve would be super helpful!

Congrats on taking the initiative to think about your scores early! A 1120 is a solid starting point, especially as a sophomore. Remember, the PSAT is not just a practice test but also a tool to help you identify areas where you can grow. For improvement, focus on understanding the types of questions you found challenging. Was it algebra, critical reading, or maybe grammar rules? Once you know your areas for growth, targeted practice can be really beneficial. Online resources often provide practice questions and full practice tests—so make sure to take advantage of those. Setting aside regular, dedicated study time each week can also boost your score significantly. Particularly, consider using the Khan Academy, which has free, Official SAT practice that could align well with the areas you need to improve on based on your PSAT results. And remember, improvement takes time and consistent effort, but with another year ahead before your junior PSAT and SAT, you've got a great opportunity to improve. Keep at it, and don't hesitate to ask teachers for help with subject-specific questions. Good luck, and keep that positive momentum going!
