Nailing the Common App: What all does it include?

Hey everyone, I'm trying to prep for my senior year and the whole application process. Could someone give me a rundown of what all is included in the Common App? Want to make sure I don't miss any crucial components.

Hey there, it's great that you're getting a head-start on your college applications! The Common Application includes several components. First, you'll have the 'Profile' section, which is where you'll enter your basic personal information, like your name, address, and demographics. Next, you have the 'Family' section to provide details about your household. Then, there's the 'Education' section, where you'll include information about your high school, any college credits you may have earned, and your academic honors. After that comes the 'Testing' section for reporting your standardized test scores, followed by the 'Activities' section, where you'll list your extracurriculars, volunteer work, and employment. You will also write a personal essay from a selection of prompts, which is a significant part of your application. Additionally, some colleges require supplemental essays or questions, which you'll find in the 'My Colleges' tab. Don't forget, you'll also need to get letters of recommendation, which aren't submitted through the Common App itself but are part of the overall application process. And of course, there's the 'Courses and Grades' section, which some colleges require you to fill out with your high school coursework and grades. Keep track of deadlines and give yourself plenty of time to gather all the necessary information. Good luck with your senior year and the application process!
