Hey there folks, I've got a question that's been on my mind lately. I have a huge amount of respect for the Navy Seals, but something I'm not 100% sure on is; are they a part of the normal Navy, or are they a separate branch?
The Navy SEALs, short for Sea, Air, and Land teams, are not a separate branch of the military. They are a special operations force that is part of the United States Navy. Navy SEALs go through some of the toughest physical and tactical training in the world and are known for their exceptional level of skills, operational abilities, and mental toughness. To become a Navy SEAL, candidates have to first enlist in the Navy and subsequently pass numerous rigorous physical and psychological tests to even be considered for SEAL training. Once selected, they undergo Basic Underwater Demolition/SEAL (BUD/S) training and additional specialized training before they are officially designated as Navy SEALs.
