Which is the Easiest Lab Course?

I've got a heavy course load next semester, and I'm trying to balance it out a bit. Has anyone found an 'easier' lab course that they'd recommend?

The "easiest" lab course largely depends on your individual strengths, interests, and the specific offerings at your institution. That being said, here's some general advice:

- Many students find introductory level Geology or Environmental Science lab courses to be relatively straightforward. These courses often involve examining rock samples, identifying plant species, or basic fieldwork, which some students find more straightforward and tangible than labs in other science disciplines.

- Another popular 'lighter' lab choice can be an introductory Astronomy lab, assuming you have a general interest in the field. Activities usually involve engaging topics like observing stars, moon & planetary phases, etc., which can be interesting and enjoyable, making the course seem easier.

- Some Psychology courses have lab components that can be fascinating and potentially less intense than hard sciences. These might involve studying behavior, conducting surveys, or analyzing data.

- If possible, try to match the lab with a lecture-style course you're already taking. This way, the lab will reinforce what you're learning and will require less additional studying.

However, it's important to remember that all lab courses will require work and preparation - none of them are truly "easy." So it would be to your advantage to select a lab course you genuinely find interesting as it will make the work required seem less heavy.

Since specific course offerings and their difficulty levels can vary greatly between schools and professors, I would encourage you to review your college's course descriptions, talk to academic advisors, or seek opinions from older students at your school. They may have specific insider tips or suggestions for 'easier' lab courses at your particular institution.
