College in Oklahoma: Which one is easiest to get into?

I'm an Oklahoman junior hoping to attend college in state. Does anyone know which colleges in Oklahoma are generally easier for admission? I still want a quality education, of course, but my GPA and test scores are a little bit average. Any advice would be appreciated

You're definitely not alone in that boat, so don't worry! Depending on what you mean by "average," different Oklahoma schools can definitely still be accessible.

At Oklahoma State University (OSU), for example, the middle 50% of admitted students have an ACT score range of 21-28 and an average high school GPA of about 3.61. They have an acceptance rate around 70%, which is reasonably high, so it would be a viable choice.

The University of Central Oklahoma (UCO), on the other hand, is even more accessible with an acceptance rate around 81%. While they don't publish average GPA or ACT score for their incoming class, the high acceptance rate makes it easier to get in for students who have somewhat lower academic metrics.

The Northeastern State University (NSU) only requires a 2.7 GPA for unconditional admission, making it another option worth considering. However, note that accessibility doesn't in itself indicate the quality of education. Each institution has its strengths, and it's essential to consider the type of learning environment that will suit you best and their respective programs.

Remember that while GPA and test scores are crucial aspects of your application, colleges also look at aspects such as your personal statement, extracurricular activities, and letters of recommendation. So, even if your scores are on the lower end, a well-rounded application can still increase your chances of getting accepted.
