White House Guarding: Which military branch is in charge?

Hey everyone, just a quick question about the military branches. I was curious about which military branch is responsible for guarding the White House? Is it always the same branch or does it change periodically?

The United States Secret Service, which isn't a branch of the military, is primarily responsible for the security of the White House. Since its founding in 1865, the Secret Service has been in charge of ensuring the safety of the President and Vice President, their families, and other high-ranking officials, as well as the security of the White House and Vice President's residence.

On occasion, military personnel could be involved in White House security, particularly members of the Military Police Corps. However, these individuals do not constitute the primary security force. Instead, they reinforce and augment the Secret Service in their duties.

It's worth noting that the Secret Service is a federal law enforcement agency under the Department of Homeland Security, and therefore has a very different structure and function compared to branches of the U.S. military.
