Norwich University's Military Branch Affiliation?

I'm really interested in Norwich University. I've heard that it has a strong military tradition, but does anyone know which specific military branch it aligns with or has significant partnerships with? Any information would be helpful. Thanks a lot!

Norwich University, indeed, has a rich and storied military tradition. It was established in 1819 as the first private military college in the country. The university is known for its leadership in the implementation of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) program modeled by other universities across the United States.

As to military branch affiliation, Norwich University maintains alignment with all branches of the American military. Their Corps of Cadets offers Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) programs for the United States Army, Navy, Marines, and the Air Force and Space Force. Moreover, these ROTC programs are not just extracurricular activities, but are fully integrated into the academic and residential experiences of Cadets. Do note that there isn't a ROTC program for the Coast Guard, particularly if that's a branch you'd be interested in joining down the line.

Additionally, Norwich University has a distinctive program called the Corps of Cadets, which is designed to prepare students for future leadership roles, either in the military or civilian sectors. This is a four-year program that emphasizes the development of leadership skills, character, knowledge, and physical fitness.

So, regardless of the specific branch you are interested in, you'll likely find an associated program at Norwich, although do be aware that there may be fewer opportunities for potential Coast Guard enlistees. The experiences and training you'll gain at the university, coupled with your academic education, will be instrumental in preparing you for future leadership, both in the military and professional realms.
