As for which branch is seen as the most "elite" or "exclusive," it's important to bear in mind that this can be quite subjective, as each branch has its own elite units and specialty fields. However, a few general perceptions do exist.

The Navy SEALs and the Army Green Berets often come up when discussing elite units. Members of these Special Forces groups undergo intensely rigorous training and selection processes and are expected to execute some of the most complex, high-stakes missions.
