What are considered the easiest AP classes?

Hey everyone, so I'm planning on taking a few AP classes next year to boost my GPA and prepare for college. However, I don't want to overwhelm myself. What are some AP classes you would consider 'easy' or at least manageable, and why? Keep in mind, I understand 'easy' is subjective, and depends on one's personal strengths and interests.

When discussing 'easier' AP classes, as you mentioned, it's important to remember that this is highly subjective and will drastically vary depending on personal interests, academic strengths, and the specific curriculum at your school. However, some AP classes have a reputation for being more manageable than others, mostly because of the nature of their content.

AP Environmental Science is often seen as one of the less rigorous AP courses, mainly due to its content's straightforwardness. However, it's a great way to get an introduction to a college-level science course if you're interested in sustainability or environmental issues.

AP Psychology, if you have an interest in human behavior and mental processes, could be a manageable class for you. It is often considered 'easy' because it is less about data and formulas, like other science-based AP classes, and more about concepts and understanding new ideas.

On the social studies side, AP Human Geography is often recommended as a good introduction to AP courses since it covers a broad range of topics. Even though the content might not be as challenging, there is still a lot of material to understand.

AP Comparative Government and Politics can also be seen as manageable because it only covers six countries and their governmental structures. However, this could be more difficult if you're not interested in political science.

AP Computer Science Principles provides an introduction to the principles of computing, coding, and problem-solving, and it doesn't require previous computer science knowledge. So, if you have an interest in this field, it could be a good starting point.

Remember that the teacher's style and the rigor of the course at your specific school may also play a significant role in determining how challenging an AP class might be for you. Before making a final decision, discuss with your counselor and teachers to understand which ones would align well with your strengths and schedules.
