Easy Online College Courses?

With online learning being a big part of college now, I'm curious. What's considered an 'easy' class to take online in college? I know it probably varies from college to college and from major to major, but I just wanted to get a general idea.

Identifying an "easy" college course can indeed be subjective, as it can rely heavily on your interest level, your strengths and weaknesses, and the particular teaching style of the professor. However, there are some courses that generally may be considered less demanding than others when taken online.

Introduction to Psychology is one course that many students find engaging and manageable. The material often involves understanding human behavior and mind processes, which can be inherently captivating. While there may be a lot of content to absorb, it's often presented in a manner that directly relates to everyday life, making it more accessible and digestible.

Introductory language courses could also be an option, particularly if you have some prior knowledge of the chosen language. Such courses often involve vocabulary memorization and basic grammar rules, which in most cases makes for straightforward studying. Plus, there are many online language learning resources to supplement your coursework.

Other courses that may be on the simpler side when taken online are General Education courses or elective courses that are built around your hobbies or interests, like Art Appreciation or Introduction to Cinema. Since these courses are designed to be accessible to students across all majors, they often don't delve into their subjects too deeply and may require less intensive work compared to specialized or advanced classes.

Keep in mind that in online learning, what makes a course easier often has to do with the structure of the class. Online classes that are considered easier often have clear expectations, flexible due dates, a consistent posting schedule, and a supportive professor who is responsive to student questions.

It's important that you choose courses not merely based on their perceived ease, but also on how they fit in with your academic and career goals. You want to ensure that the classes you are taking are purposeful and contributing to your overall educational and personal growth.
