Hidden Sixth Military Branch?

Alright, so I've been talking to a couple of people about potentially going into the military after I wrap up high school, and someone mentioned something about a 'sixth military branch'. What is that? Is there really such a thing?

Yes, there is indeed a sixth branch of the United States military. This is the United States Space Force (USSF). It was established in December 2019 and it's the most recent branch to be added to the U.S. military.

The Space Force's role is to organize, train, and equip personnel to protect the U.S. and allied interests in space. This includes monitoring ballistic missile launches, tracking space debris, managing military satellites, and even improving our capabilities to operate in space.
