Easiest Branch of Military to Join?

Hey guys! I'm open to all after-school paths right now. Thinking about the military but I'm not super fit. Are there any branches that have less rigorous physical requirements, or is it pretty uniform across the board? Thank you in advance.

The physical fitness requirements for joining the military do vary across branches. While all branches require potential recruits to pass a fitness test, some are considered less demanding than others. Traditionally, the Air Force has had a reputation for having the least physically demanding test, but it's still quite rigorous, focusing on running, sit-ups, and push-ups.

Another thing to consider is the Coast Guard, which some consider to have less intense physical training. However, the Coast Guard's missions often involve situations that can be physically demanding, such as search and rescue operations.

It's worth noting that the "easiest" branch in terms of physical fitness isn't always based on absolute standards, but is relative to the requirements of a particular job within that branch. Even within branches, physical requirements can differ significantly between roles.

Regardless of where you end up, you'll likely need to increase your fitness level to some degree to meet the basic entrance requirements. Starting a consistent training program now that incorporates both strength training and cardio can help you meet those demands, no matter which branch you choose. Speak with a recruiter for specific details on the physical requirements for each branch to help inform your decision.
