Military Basic Training Locations: Where are they?

Hey, quick question I couldn't find a clear answer to online - where are all the branches of the military's basic training locations? I'm particularly curious to explore the ones that have more nature-oriented training grounds. Any input appreciated!

Sure, no problem! Each branch of the U.S. military conducts basic training at a unique location. Here are the current locations:

1. The Air Force conducts basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

2. The Army has several training locations, but the largest is at Fort Jackson in Columbia, South Carolina. Other locations include Fort Knox in Louisville, Kentucky, Fort Benning in Columbus, Georgia, Fort Leonard Wood in Waynesville, Missouri, and Fort Sill in Lawton, Oklahoma.

3. The Coast Guard basic training takes place at the Coast Guard Training Center Cape May in New Jersey.

4. The Marine Corps conducts its recruit training at Parris Island, South Carolina, and at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in San Diego, California.

5. The Navy runs its boot camp at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center, which is near Chicago, Illinois.

6. The Space Force, as a newer branch, utilizes the Air Force's basic training program at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland Air Force Base as well.

As for natural environments, the Marine Corps’ training at Parris Island stands out. This island setting means recruits conduct training exercises in a range of different settings – from marshy swamplands to sandy beaches. Similarly, Army training at the various Fort locations will also likely expose recruits to a more natural, outdoor environment. Be prepared for physically and mentally demanding challenges though, no matter the scenic backdrop!
