Which subjects at Queens College are considered to be easier?

Hey folks! I'm heading to Queens College soon and, while I'm ready to work hard, I also don't want to overexert myself in my first semester. Are there any classes that are generally known to be less difficult, ideally ones with interesting content too? All suggestions are greatly appreciated.

It's a good strategy to have a balanced course load, especially in your first semester as you adjust to college life. But remember, the perception of a course being "easy" or "hard" really varies from person to person and depends largely on individual strengths, interests, and dedication to the course material.

That being said, if you're looking at lighter courses or those that students have found to be less demanding, courses in areas like Health Education, Physical Education, or some introductory Social Sciences (like Anthropology or Sociology) could be a bit less rigorous. These courses are typically designed to be broad and accessible, and they often fulfill general education requirements.

However, some students find certain Art or Music courses to be less strenuous, depending on their creative skills and the specific course's content. Also, many colleges, including Queens College, offer freshman seminar courses that can help you transition into the academic pace of college while exploring fascinating topics in a small class setting.

Remember, though, that your interest in a class can often make it seem less challenging because you're more engaged. Don't shy away from a class simply because you've heard it's hard—take it as an opportunity to be challenged and grow.

It might also be helpful to look at course syllabi (if available), talk to upperclassmen, or seek advice from your academic adviser for more personalized suggestions.
