Any way to calculate my GPA for Liberty University?

Does anyone know if Liberty University has a GPA calculator or a certain GPA scale they use? I want to get a feel for how competitive my application might be based on my academic record so far. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Liberty University, like many colleges, uses a standard 4.0 GPA scale. If you're trying to calculate your GPA, it's important to realize that they not only look at your unweighted GPA but also your weighted GPA, which takes into account the rigor of your courses. Advanced Placement (AP) and Honors courses, for instance, generally have more weight.

Here's a simplified way to calculate your GPA:

1. Assign each class a credit value: Most high school classes are worth the same amount, but just make sure you double-check. Usually, it is 1 credit per class per semester.

2. Now, assign each grade a point value: A grade of A equals 4 points, B equals 3 points, C equals 2 points, D equals 1 point, and an F equals 0 points.

3. Multiply each class’s credit value by the point value of the grade earned in that class. For instance, if you get an A (4 points) in a class worth 1 credit, that's 41 = 4.

4. Sum up the total of these numbers from all your classes.

5. Finally, divide the total from step 4 by the total number of credits taken.

The resulting number will give you your unweighted GPA. If your school gives additional weight to honors or AP classes, you would add that into the calculation in step 3 (generally one extra point per class). You would then proceed the same way, ultimately arriving at your weighted GPA.

Please keep in mind that while GPA is a major factor in college admissions, it's not the only aspect taken into account. Your rigor of curriculum, extracurricular activities, essays, letters of recommendation, and other factors can also significantly contribute to your application.
