Easiest major at College of Charleston?

Hi all! I'm narrowing down my college choices and I'm exploring College of Charleston extensively. A bit stressed out about picking a challenging major. Can anyone shed some light on what could possibly be the least rigorous major at College of Charleston? I'm hoping to balance between my academics and other personal pursuits. Thanks heaps!

Let me first clarify that the notion of an "easy" or "hard" major can be quite subjective - it largely depends on your individual skills, interests, and goals for your education and beyond. If you're looking for a major that you perceive to be less demanding, it might be better to consider a major that closely aligns with your strengths and passion, which could make the coursework feel less burdensome and more engaging.

That being said, I can provide some general information about the academic programs at the College of Charleston. This institution is known for offering a range of dynamic and interdisciplinary programs. Some students have found the major in Communication to be quite manageable, though this doesn't demean the quality of the coursework or the value of the degree. As a Communication major, you would study about human communication, ranging from interpersonal communication, group communication, organizational communication, and media studies.

The Hospitality and Tourism Management program at the College of Charleston is also fairly popular and well-reputed. This field may seem less rigorous to some because a lot of learning happens through practical experiences like internships and fieldwork in the thriving Charleston tourism industry.

However, it is critical that you select a major not solely based on perceived rigor or ease, but instead consider what genuinely interests you and fits with your career aspirations. This will allow you to stay motivated and persistent even when faced with challenging coursework. Remember, college is a time for academic exploration and growth, not just simply pursuing the easiest path. It may be helpful to reach out to the College of Charleston's academic advising office to discuss your interests, strengths, and goals more extensively to further guide your decision.
