Easier college majors offered at the University of Florida?

OMG, guys, I can't believe I'm starting to think about this already, but whatever. Here goes. I'm a rising junior thinking about applying to UF. I want to know if anyone knows about some of the 'easier' majors offered at UF? Not looking for a cake walk or anything, just something that won't entirely consume my life with studying and assignments.

I understand where you're coming from. It's not uncommon to want to balance college academics with extracurriculars, work, or other interests. That said, it's important to clarify that an "easy" major can be quite subjective as it often depends on where your interests and strengths lie.

However, there are certain programs at the University of Florida (UF) that traditionally might have a slightly lighter workload compared to more intensive fields such as engineering or pre-medical studies. These include majors within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences such as Sociology, Anthropology, or English.

Another one to consider could be Family, Youth, and Community Sciences which is part of the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. This major focuses on the well-being of individuals, families, and communities, and while there's no shortage of work, students often find the subject matter engaging and manageable.

The College of Health and Human Performance also offers the Health Education and Behavior major. This field focuses on promoting healthy lifestyle choices and addressing societal health issues. Students in this major have reported the coursework to be quite applicable and interesting.

Again, it's important to pick a major that aligns with your career goals and passions. Choosing a major you’re passionate about will often make it feel “easy” because you enjoy the work you’re doing. Also, remember that each course comes with its own unique set of challenges, and workload can also vary by professor or semester.

You might also find it useful to talk to current students or alumni from UF to get first-hand insights into what certain majors entail. Plus, UF's advisors can provide tremendous help in pointing you in the right direction based on your interests. Good luck on your college journey!
