Trying to understand 'Party Colleges'

Just curious. I occasionally hear the term 'party college'. What is it, really? And if I wanted to, which ones might be easier to get into?

When people mention a "party college," they're referring to a school that has a reputation for having a very active social scene, where parties and events are frequently a big part of student life. Such colleges are known for an emphasis on socializing and partying, often at the expense of academics.
