Easiest language class to take in college?

Hey, just an eager college-bound student here trying to gather some advice. I have to take some foreign language classes for my degree but I suck at languages big time. So which ones have you found to be the easiest in college?

Determining the "easiest" language class can heavily rely on a student's prior knowledge, native language, and personal interest. However, here are few languages often deemed approachable for English-speakers:

1. Spanish: This is often cited as an easy language for English-speakers to learn due to its straightforward grammar rules and vocabulary which has numerous words that are similar to English.

2. French: It also shares many similarities in vocabulary with English. Remember, though, that pronunciation can be tricky for beginners.

3. Italian: It's structurally similar to Spanish and French, plus the pronunciation is often considered easier than French.

4. Dutch: If you're more interested in the Germanic language family, Dutch can be a good place to start as it has simpler grammar and pronunciation rules compared to German.

Please note, your interest in the language and culture can significantly motivate your language learning process, so consider that as well when deciding. You may also want to reach out to your college guidance counselor or speak to students who have taken different language classes to get their perspectives.
