Easy College Social Science Class for Gen-Ed?

Coming up on my Gen-Ed requirements and I'm staring down the Social Science options. I feel a bit overwhelmed. Can you guys recommend any social science classes that might be easier to manage for a non-social-sciences major?

Though the level of difficulty can vary widely depending on your personal interests, strengths, and the specific professors teaching the classes, there are a few social science classes that are commonly deemed as approachable by many students.

1) Introduction to Sociology: This can provide you with critical insight into the workings of society and covers a broad range of topics, including social behavior and culture. It's also a course where there's a lot of discussion and essay writing, rather than rote memorization, which can make it feel less intensive for some students.

2) Introduction to Psychology: Known for its practical applicability, it tends to cover various topics such as perception, behavior, and motivation which can prove useful in a wide array of fields. Plus, the subject matter is often engaging and relatable.

3) Recognizing and Minimizing Bias: Bias is a universal experience and learning to recognize it can be incredibly enlightening. This type of course is typically discussion heavy and less reliant on cold, hard data, potentially making it easier for those whose strengths lie in conversation and interpersonal understanding rather than statistics or research.

4) Demystifying Democracy: This course offers a glimpse into democracy, its functioning, challenges, and benefits. It's hands-on, relevant, and often ends up being quite engaging due to the universally applicable knowledge that it provides.
