Easiest college classes online

Has anyone found any particularly 'easy' classes that are offered online? With everything going on, I'm considering some online classes but I don't want to add more stress. Does anyone have any formats or specific colleges that they've tried out and recommend?

From my experience, it's important to understand that "easy" can be subjective and will depend quite a bit on your individual strengths and interests. For example, a class that one student finds 'easy' might feel difficult to another student with different skills or interests.

However, here are a couple of general classes that have often been mentioned by students as 'easier':

1. Intro to Sociology: This is usually a beginner level course and it mostly involves understanding and remembering societal concepts, which is generally considered easier compared to complex problem-solving.

2. General Psychology: This is another popular choice for an easier online class if you are interested in understanding human behavior. It usually involves more memorization than application.

As for the colleges, most community colleges offer online classes that tend to be somewhat easier compared to four-year university courses. This could potentially be a good way to earn some credits if you're looking to reduce your overall college workload.

Regardless, an easy online course doesn’t mean you won’t have to put in any effort. Often, these types of classes still require participation, discussion posts, and tests or essays. "Easy" courses can still require consistent work and organization, especially when the course is online and it's easy to forget about deadlines.

Make sure to also communicate with your academic adviser ahead of time to ensure that the classes you choose to take will in fact count toward your degree program and transfer correctly if you are planning to transfer them to a four-year university. It would be frustrating to take a class and then not receive the credit you were hoping for!

Finally, remember to review the course syllabus for each class you consider. This can give you a good sense of the workload, course structure, and grading policies, which should help you determine how manageable the class will be for you.
