Hello, I'm in the process of filling out my Common App and I'm not sure how to upload a teacher recommendation. Do I upload it myself, or does my teacher need to do it on their end? A little guidance would be awesome.
Hello there! Don't worry, you're not meant to upload recommendation letters yourself on the Common Application. Instead, you'll provide the contact information for your teachers through the application platform.
Once you input their details, they'll receive an email with a link to submit their recommendation directly and confidentially. It's important to ask your teachers in advance if they are willing to write a recommendation for you and to give them plenty of time to complete it. Also, make sure to follow up with them to ensure they’ve received the email from the Common App.
Keep in mind each school may have different requirements for how many recommendations they want, so be sure to check each institution's guidelines. And remember to express your gratitude to your teachers for their help in this important part of your application process!
