Need suggestions for easy dinners for college students

I'm not the best cook, and I'm gonna be cooking for myself for the first time when I start college. Any suggestions for easy, quick, and preferably healthy dinners that a college student like me can whip up?

Sure, cooking for yourself in college can be a lot of fun, and there are plenty of simple recipes out there that are perfect for beginners.

One example is a vegetable stir-fry which is super simple and nutritious. You just need to sauté your favorite vegetables (like bell peppers, broccoli, carrots, etc.) in a pan with some olive oil, garlic, and your choice of protein (like chicken or tofu). Spice it up with some soy sauce, chili flakes, and a dash of honey if you like a touch of sweetness. Whole grain rice or noodles can act as a filling base.

Secondly, you might consider quesadillas. You can stuff a tortilla with cheese and any vegetables you have on hand (like bell peppers, tomatoes, or onions). Cook on a pan until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is crispy. Serve it with some salsa or guacamole on the side.

Another favorite is spaghetti aglio e olio. It requires only a few ingredients: pasta, olive oil, garlic, red pepper flakes, and parmesan. The key is to impart the garlic and pepper flavors into the oil before you toss it with the pasta.

Eggs are your friends too! Scrambled eggs, omelets, and frittatas can all be made quickly. Add some diced vegetables, cheese, and maybe some cooked bacon or ham and you have a filling meal.

Finally, don't forget about soups and salads. They can be a great way to use up leftovers, and they're generally very healthy and comforting dishes. You can make any combination of vegetables, protein, and grains that you like.

Remember to keep your pantry stocked with versatile ingredients (like canned beans, pasta, rice, etc.) and seasonings - they can really elevate a simple dish!
