Any Info on Uncrowded and Easy Classes to Help Boost GPA at DePaul University?

Hey y'all! I'm gonna be a junior next year and I’m starting to look at colleges. I'm looking into DePaul University but, apart from the major courses, I’m also thinking about taking some easy classes to potentially boost my GPA. If there are any current DePaul students here, could you share which classes should I consider for this purpose? Please and thank you!

While selecting "easy" classes can sometimes be helpful for GPA boosting, it's important to follow a balanced approach by ensuring these classes also offer value in terms of skills development or knowledge acquisition. That being said, when determining "easier" courses, it tends to be somewhat subjective and highly dependent on personal strengths and interests.

At DePaul, from what I've gathered, many students find courses in the Cinema Studies department to be relatively light in terms of workload, engaging, and enjoyable, which might help with achieving a higher grade. The MUS 100 - Understanding Music course is reported to be a relatively straightforward class that many students enjoy. HSP 101 - Introduction to Global Tourism is also considered an interesting and manageable course.

Another course that comes highly recommended is IS 201 - Introduction to Information Systems. The course is well-structured and the content is generally considered very useful, especially in today's digital age.

Classes in the Peace, Justice, and Conflict Studies department at DePaul are also known for being thought-provoking and not too difficult. They offer PAX 210 - International Conflict and Peacebuilding which many students find fulfilling and manageable.

Remember, these courses could be perceived as "easy" by some students due to their strong interest or prior knowledge in the subject matter, your experience may differ. So, it's advisable to select courses where you see value beyond the easy A. Does the subject intrigue you? Will it help expand your worldview or complement your major?

Again, it's a good idea to keep a balanced course load and not overload your schedule with these so-called "easy" courses. These shouldn't necessarily replace any core requirements or classes related to your major! Good luck!
