Easiest 170 Classes at University of Arizona

Hi all, I'm looking into some options for lower-division classes at University of Arizona. Does anyone have experiences with the 170 classes there? I'm looking for a class that's interesting and manageable—any suggestions would be so appreciated!

While "easy" can be pretty subjective as everyone has their own strengths, areas of interest, and time commitments, I can definitely give you a list of classes that are often regarded as manageable by many students. Gaining feedback from peers, many students have found the following 170 courses to be engaging and not too demanding:

1. PSY 170: Introduction to Psychology - A staple for many majors and a great way to fulfill general education requirements, it gives you a broad understanding of the basics of psychology.

2. ENGL 173: Films and Society - A popular choice for those interested in film studies, it analyzes the correlation between films and society.

3. ASTRO 170B1: Extraterrestrial Life - This course explores the possibility of life beyond earth and is generally praised for its captivating material.

4. NFS 170: Healthful Eating - Teaches you nutrition and basics of a healthy lifestyle, very applicable to daily life.

5. GEOG 170A1: Geography of Global Change - A great way of fulfilling geography or global awareness requirements.

Remember, what might be easy for one person could be challenging for another, depending on their strengths and interests. I would recommend looking up professors on RateMyProfessors or getting opinions from other students to get an idea of what the coursework and grading is like before you commit to the class. Make sure to also consider what aligns with your personal interests and academic goals!
