Easy Majors at University of Michigan?

Hi everyone, I'm hoping you can give me an idea about this. I'm really interested in University of Michigan but I'm kinda worried about the difficulty of some majors. Which majors at UMich would you say are relatively less demanding to get into? Thanks!

First off, let's clear one thing: the term "easy" is subjective, and the relative difficulty of a major can vary from person to person. What's "easy" for one person might be "hard" for another, depending on their interests, skills, and aptitude. That being said, some majors at colleges like the University of Michigan are less competitive to get into than others.

Many students have found programs in the liberal arts like English, History, or Sociology can be less demanding when it comes to prerequisites and application processes compared to some of the harder sciences or specialized programs. However, avoid choosing a major just because it's perceived as "easy". It's essential to study something you're genuinely interested in, as your passion for the subject can often outweigh the difficulty of the course load.

What you might want to consider is the flexibility of the major. Some majors, like the ones in LSA (College of Literature, Science, and the Arts), offer more room in their curriculum for electives, giving you more time to explore other subjects or engage in extracurricular activities.

Above everything, your choice should hinge on your academic and career goals. Make sure to do a bit of research on the classes required for the major, department culture, and opportunities for research or internships. You should also seek advice from college advisors or students who are currently enrolled in the program to get a better feel for what the major entails.

Finally, remember that college isn't just about finding the path of least resistance. It's about challenging yourself, growing as a scholar and as a person. Even if a major is challenging, it might be the right fit for you if it aligns with your goals and interests.
