Which California State University are the easiest to get into?

Hello folks! I've been exploring several options for colleges, and the California State Universities (CSUs) are really catching my attention. Does anyone have an idea which among the CSU campuses are easier to get into? Not trying to take the easy path, just considering all my options! Thanks!

While it's always important to apply to colleges that best match your specific interests and goals, checking admission rates can certainly give you some notions of which schools might be more accessible.

The Cal State system comprises 23 campuses, all with different strengths, specialties, student bodies, and of course, varying acceptance rates. In general, some of the less competitive CSUs in terms of acceptance rates include CSU Bakersfield, CSU Dominguez Hills, and CSU San Bernardino, which have traditionally had acceptance rates over 75%.

While these universities tend to be a bit less selective than their counterparts, remember that acceptance rate is just one factor to consider when evaluating a college. Be sure to also consider the campus environment, academic programs, and resources available to students when making your decision. Keep in mind that 'less selective' does not always signify 'lower quality.' Many of these campuses offer exceptional programs and a solid academic experience to their students.

Lastly, remember that the Cal State application does not require an essay, and as of the 2024-2025 application cycle, all CSU campuses are test-blind, meaning they do not consider SAT or ACT scores in their admissions process. The primary factors considered in their holistic review process are high school GPA, completion of the 'a-g' requirements, and your intended major. Make sure to keep these factors in mind while compiling your list of prospective CSUs, and best of luck in your college search!
