Michigan State University—What classes aren't as tough?

Hey guys, I'm creating my class schedule for Michigan State University and was wondering if anyone could suggest any classes that are not too tough. It's not that I'm trying to slack off, I'm just trying to balance my workload in my first year.

Sure, creating a balanced schedule especially in the first year is very key, so don't worry; it's not about slacking off. Here are some classes that past students have found manageable:

1. HDFS 225: Lifespan Human Development in the Family. It's pretty basic, taught by multiple professors and not too stressful. Plus, it covers interesting material related to Human Development.

2. PLS 100: Introduction to American Politics. If you have an interest in politics, then this can be insightful and not too overwhelming.

3. ISB 201: Insects, Globalization, and Sustainability. This is a good course if you're not too into science but need to cover general education requirements. It tends to cover a wide range of topics rather than delving deep into them, which makes it easier to manage.

4. IAH 241E Creative Arts and Humanities: The Creative Process. This is a fun and supportive class if you're into creativity and art.

5. KIN 121: Fitness Walking. This class literally involves fitness walking. It's fairly easy and good for a break in-between some heavy mental classes.

Remember, the "easiness" of a class can also largely depend on your personal interests and strengths. A class might seem easy to someone who is particularly interested in, or good at the subject matter, but it might not be the same for everyone.

Also, professors can play a big role. Make sure to check out RateMyProfessors or similar resources to get a sense of the teaching style and difficulty of specific professors. Good luck with your scheduling!
