Looking for ideas on easier classes at Ohio University

Hola amigos! I just got accepted into Ohio University and I am prepping my class schedule. I was hoping to get some suggestions on classes that are on the lighter side. I'm really nervous about maintaining a good GPA during my first year, so any tips would be appreciated!

Sure thing! At Ohio University, there are several courses deemed "easier" or "GPA boosters" by students. While difficulty can be subjective based on your strengths, here are a few to consider:

1. BIOS 1700 - "Human Biology": This class provides a good foundation in biology without getting too deep into the complexities. It counts towards natural science credits and is known for being manageable.

2. COMS 1030 - "Fundamentals of Public Speaking": Public speaking can seem intimidating, but this course is designed to help you grow in your comfort and capabilities. It's known to be fair with grading as long as you put in the effort for your speeches.

3. GEOG 1200 - "Physical Geology": This course is known for being interactive and not overly demanding. If you're interested in geography or environmental science, this could be a good option.

4. CLAS 2340 - "Classical Mythology": If you're into literature or history, this course is interesting and consistently gets positive feedback for being engaging and relatively easy.

5. PSY 1010 - "General Psychology": This class is a great introduction to psychology and is reported to be pretty manageable.

Additionally, utilize resources like Rate My Professors before building your class schedule. Past students usually provide pretty accurate assessments of workload, grading style, and overall class difficulty for specific professors. And remember, even "easy" courses require time and dedication to do well! Congratulations on your acceptance and best of luck in your first year!
