University of Washington's easiest Science class?

I'm trying to balance out my schedule for next quarter at the University of Washington; I heard that there are some relatively bearable science classes I could take? Any ideas?

The relative "ease" of a course can often vary based on individual preferences, strengths, and even who the professor is, so take these considerations into account when gathering information. This being said, I have noticed a general consensus among students interests when it comes to lighter science courses at the University of Washington.

1. "ESS 101: Introduction to Geology" - This Earth Science course covers the fundamental principles of geology and tends to garner positive reviews from students who aren't science-oriented. It often includes hands-on activities and field trips which help break up the usual classroom routine.

2. "ASTR 101: Astronomy" - This introductory course covers everything from the solar system and stars to evolution of the universe. It's generally well-liked because the topics can be fascinating and it doesn't require high-level math or physics.

3. "BIOL 108: The Foundation of Biology and Medicine" - This biology course revolves around the natural philosophy from the ancient times to the scientific revolution. It's less focused on data and formulas, and more on understanding the history and interconnectedness of biological concepts.

4. “ATM S 101: Weather” - Covers the basics of meteorology including why we have weather, what drives the weather patterns, and how this climate shapes our world. The practical, real-world observations can make this class more engaging and easier.

Remember, course availability can vary each quarter so be sure to check the online course catalog. You might also want to contact an academic counselor in the sciences department who could provide more tailored advice about manageable science classes for your specific course load and major.
