De Anza College: Looking for Easiest GEs

Hello! I'm in a bit of a pickle here. I'm planning my upcoming term at De Anza College and I need to load up on some GEs (general education courses). Can anyone let me know which ones are considered the easiest? I want to make sure I can balance my workload. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for courses that you might consider "easy" is a relative term as it can significantly vary from one student to another based on their strengths, interests, and experiences. But from what I've heard from many students, some believe that some courses may be lighter in terms of workload and complexity.

Anthropology 2 (Cultural Anthropology) is frequently mentioned as a course that many students find interesting and less demanding in complexity. It tends to revolve more around understanding different cultures and their practices, so if you are intrigued by human behaviors and societies, this might be an engaging course for you.

Psychology 1 (General Psychology) is another one that receives positive feedback. This course introduces basic concepts and theories in psychology, and many find that it often relates to daily life experiences, making the content easier to understand and remember.

Another suggestion is the Art 2H (History of Western Art from the Middle Ages to the 21st Century). It's a course that explores western art's history, which many students find captivating and less challenging.

Keep in mind that your mileage may vary based on your unique skills and interests. For instance, a course may seem "easy" to one student because the topic interests them, but it can seem very challenging to another who has little interest in the subject matter.

Also remember that the professor teaching the course can greatly impact your experience. It's always a good idea to do some research on your prospective professors as some tend to grade more leniently or present the material in a more digestible way. Try to balance your schedule based on your major program requirements, your personal interests, and your ability to handle the workload.

Lastly, I must emphasize that it's not always about taking the "easy way out." Sometimes, challenging yourself with a more rigorous class can lead to great rewards in knowledge acquisition and skill-building. So take this into consideration as well while you're planning your course lineup!

Good luck!
