Navigating College Math: Easiest course?

Hi everyone, math has always been a struggle for me and as college approaches, I'm starting to get a bit anxious. Anyone got any tips on what's the easiest math class to take in college? Thanks in advance for your insights.

Coming to college can definitely bring new challenges, especially if math isn't your strength. Every college will have its own set of courses with varying degrees of difficulty, but generally speaking, "College Algebra" or "Contemporary Mathematics" tend to be on the easier side for many students.

"College Algebra" typically covers basic properties of the real numbers, equations and inequalities, polynomials, rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions. "Contemporary Mathematics" explores mathematical reasoning and the solving of real-life problems, rather than routine skills and appreciation. These topics are less technical and often tie back to practical examples, which can make the material more approachable.

Another suggestion would be courses that are more specific to your major or intended career path. For instance, if you are a social sciences major, consider taking a course in statistics which might be more relevant.

Remember, the easiest course can depend largely on your personal skills and interests. A course you find interesting will likely be easier for you to grasp, as you'll be more engaged and motivated to understand the material.
