Easiest majors in general?

I'm not sure which university I want to go to, but I still need to decide on a major. Could someone give me an idea of what are generally considered 'easier' majors? Thanks in advance!

It's important to remember that difficulty is often subjective and can depend on a student's strengths and interests. That said, there are a few majors often named as less demanding compared to some rigorous disciplines like engineering, physics, or pre-medicine due to their coursework typically requiring less technical or complex study. Please note that every major provides invaluable skills and experiences, and an “easier” major doesn't automatically translate to less career prospects or significance.

1. Communication: This major covers various areas such as public relations, advertising, journalism, and broadcasting. The coursework typically involves a lot of group projects, presentations, and written assignments.

2. Sociology: A sociology degree helps you understand society's structures and issues. Many find it less demanding because it doesn't usually require intensive mathematics or lab work, unlike other social science disciplines.

3. Education: While the hands-on aspect of internships and student teaching can be quite time-consuming, the coursework in an education major is often less rigorous than in other fields.

4. English/Literature: Majoring in English requires loads of reading and analytical writing, which some students may find less challenging than lab reports or problem sets. However, this could be demanding for those who struggle with language or abstract thinking.

5. Business Administration: The introductory courses in this major are typically broad and introductory in nature, covering a wide variety of business areas, including marketing, management, and finance.

Keep in mind that your choice of major should align with your career goals and personal interests. College is a substantial investment of time and resources, and you would want to ensure you are investing wisely. Explore different disciplines, take a variety of courses, and not just proceed with a major because it's perceived as 'easier'.
