Finding the Easiest IAH Courses at Michigan State University

Does anyone have any recommendations on the easiest IAH courses at Michigan State University? I'm trying to plan out my course schedule ahead of time and it's a little overwhelming.

Of course, it's important to remember that what seems easy to one person might not be so easy to another, depending on your strengths, interests, and the professors teaching the course. However, some commonly regarded as less-demanding IAH (Integrative Studies in Arts and Humanities) courses at Michigan State University include:

1. IAH 202 - Europe and the World: In this history-focused class, you'll learn about the development of Western Civilization from the Renaissance to the present.

2. IAH 231A - Expressive Cultures: Literature, Music, Film: This course focuses on analyzing and interpreting a diverse range of creative expressions, from novels and poetry to music and film.

3. IAH 207 - Literature, Cultures, Identities: This course focuses on the way authors use literature to express cultural and personal identities.

Another piece of advice would also be to check out the professors teaching the course. Rate My Professors or other similar sites can give you a perspective on professor's teaching style, workload, and their student's overall perception.

Also, plan your schedule in a balanced way. Spread your 'harder', credit-heavy, or major-specific classes out over your semesters, and fit in the 'easier' or general education classes where you can.

Remember, the goal of these classes is to gain a well-rounded, diverse education. So, consider choosing IAH courses that genuinely interest you as well. Not only would this make the class seem easier but you would also feel more engaged and get more out of the experience. For instance, if you enjoy foreign films, you might find "IAH 231A - Expressive Cultures: Literature, Music, Film" straight up your alley! Happy scheduling!
