In Search of Easier Majors

I've been doing a lot of thinking, and for me, I think university will be more about the overall experience and less about my specific major. So, I'm curious, could anyone suggest what subjects are generally considered the 'easiest' to study at university?

It's worth noting that 'easier' can vary widely from person to person, depending on personal strengths, interests, and how much effort and time you're willing to put into your studies. Understanding this, there are some majors that statistically tend to have higher average GPAs, which might indicate they could be considered less rigorous for some students.

1. Education: Education majors often focus on understanding teaching methods and effective learning strategies rather than memorizing or problem-solving complex theories, which some might find less demanding.

2. Communications: This major often involves a lot of group projects and presentations, which some students find less challenging than other fields of study.

3. Social Sciences: Majors like Psychology, Sociology, or Anthropology could be less strenuous, focusing on understanding and interpreting human behavior and society.

4. Business: Although business administration or management can be challenging, they are often considered to be less demanding than more technical or scientific disciplines.

5. Related to the Arts: Majors like Art, Theatre, Music, or Photography, where assessments may be performance or portfolio-based, can be less stressful for those who are artistically inclined.

However, keep in mind that what's easy for one person may be difficult for another. What's most critical is that you're engaged and invested in your study - that'll motivate you to put in the necessary work, which in turn can make it seem, subjectively, 'easier.' It's also essential to consider how your choice of major will align with your future career goals. For example, a major in business might seem easier than a major in biology, but if your goal is to go into medicine, biology will be the more appropriate - and in the long run, "easier" - major. Therefore, you should consider your interests, strengths, and career aspirations in choosing a major.
