University of Rochester: Any Must Take Easy Classes?

In case I end up going to the University of Rochester, do any current students or graduates have suggestions for easy classes that I should take during my first year? Thanks in advance!

There are quite a few courses at the University of Rochester that students generally consider to be a bit "easier" while still offering solid educational content. Remember, however, that the perception of a course's difficulty can often be subjective and vary based on personal interest or previous academic experience.

That said, here are a few classes you might want to consider:

1. Synth, Samplers and Drums (AME 120): A well-liked course among students, this class lets you explore the fundamentals of audio and music. It's quite hands-on and interesting if you have a passion for music or technology.

2. Principles of Economics (ECO 108): If you're not an economics major and want an introductory course to gain some basic understanding of economics principles, this one's usually a hit. The concepts aren't too complex and it provides a good grounding for other economics courses if you plan to take more.

3. Introduction to Digital Media Studies (DMS 101): A good class for starters with an interest in digital media; the course is hands-on, interactive, and considered engaging by many students.

Each of these classes will depend greatly on your individual interest in the topic and your personal academic strengths. Reputation for "easiness" doesn't necessarily guarantee that you'll breeze through - remember, maintaining a balance of interests and suitability is key to a fruitful academic journey.
