Courses to Take at University of Florida

Hey folks! Future Gator here, hopefully! I'm trying to strategize my class schedule. Can anyone shed some light on some of the less demanding courses offered at the UFL? I'm just trying to keep my stress levels in check for my first year.

Certainly, it's great to balance your course load to manage stress, particularly in your first year. At the University of Florida (UF), it's important to note that difficulty can often be subjective, and it depends on your skills, interests, and your major. However, there are a few courses that a number of students have found to be less demanding.

1. Wildlife Issues (WIS2040): This course is usually recommended to students looking for an easier workload. It covers various wildlife-related issues and their impact on society.

2. Age of Dinosaurs (GLY1102): This course could be interesting if you're a fan of Jurassic Park. It revolves around the study of dinosaurs and is widely regarded as an enjoyable and less demanding class.

3. Plants, Gardening, and You (ORH1030): Here, you'll learn about plants and their growth, landscaping, design and more. This class is seen as a stress reliever due to its hands-on nature and less rigorous curriculum.

4. History of Jazz (MUH4016): This course requires no background in music – you'll have fun exploring the history of Jazz and its impact.

5. Myths of Greeks and Romans (CLT3370): If you appreciate Greek mythology, this course is a must. You'll explore different Greek legends and myths. The content is not only engaging but also not overly difficult.

Remember, while these courses might lighten your workload, they should also align with your academic and career goals. Be sure to check if they fulfill any general education requirements or complement your major. Make sure you enjoy the subject matter too - an "easy" class that you loathe will feel a lot harder than a challenging class that you love!
